Job Details:

  • Regular working location at Wimbledon head office;
  • Onsite inspections and trainings at 15 branches across the country required;
  • £28,000 per annum Gross;
  • Regular working days are Monday to Friday, but Saturday and Sunday emergency shifts might be required;

The Role – Overseeing all quality, food safety and Health & Safety matters on site. Reports to Group Operations Director.

  • Manage and facilitate the delivery of site policies and procedures and customer codes of practice
  • To keep up-to-date with all relevant food safety legislation and cascade this knowledge to operational and technical personnel throughout the sites as required.
  • Interface with all regulatory bodies including but not exclusively FSA, Defra and local authorities on relevant issues and feedback and action as required.

Ensure that sites and teams are adequately prepared for customer visits and audits both in terms of resource and processes

  • Ensure site internal audits are carried out as per defined schedule and follow up on any findings
  • Ensure full traceability is maintained throughout the process
  • Actively support the site HACCP team
  • Monitor and facilitate site technical KPI’s

The Person

  • Strong organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of current HACCP principles and Food Safety Legislation
  • Well developed interpersonal and communication skills

To be considered you must hold the Higher Certificate in Food Control or certificate of registration or Diploma issued by the Environmental Health Registration Board.

The Inspecting Officer must be able to demonstrate how they are capable of meeting the competencies relating to Inspection of Food Establishments
